Michter's US-1 Limited Release Toasted Barrel Finish Rye Whiskey
In its continued pursuit of offering the greatest American whiskey, Michter’s is proud to release the 2026 edition of its US★1 Toasted Barrel Finish Rye. Beginning with fully matured US★1 Kentucky Straight Rye at barrel strength, the whiskey is aged for an additional period in a second custom barrel made from 24-month air-dried wood and toasted to exacting specifications. The result is a remarkably rich, complex rye with notes of toffee, black walnut, and cherry complemented by pronounced spice and beautifully rounded oak. The average strength of the barrels in this limited release is 109.1 proof.

Layers of toffee, honey, and black walnut lead into dark chocolate, salted caramel, cherry, and mint, with pronounced rye spice balanced by rounded oak and toastiness on the finish.
