2022 Tomac Marany Sivi

Classification: Dry Skin Contact White Wine (Orange Wine)

Climate: Continental climate, mild to high temperatures during the growing season, with consistent rain.

Terrain: Mainly limestone and marl, further promoting the production of acidity in grapes. The vineyards are south-facing, enabling the grapes to receive sufficient sunshine for better ripening. The vineyards lie on rolling hills, starting from 200 meters in elevation up to over 400 meters.

Farming: Biodynamic farming

Vinification: Grapes are destemmed, crushed and co-fermented with natural yeasts in the qvevri with no temperature control and no sulfur for 4 weeks. After a gentle pressing, the wine is put in 2000L  for a year on fine lees. It is bottled with a tiny amount of sulfur without filtration and then aged in bottle for a year before release.

Tasting Notes: The Sivi Marany was not created to be analyzed and examined through charts and questionnaires. It was created as a reflection of nature it was grown from: pure, honest, and stunning.

Sivi Marany wafts up with a perfumed bouquet, blending wild strawberries and flowery underbrush with spiced blood orange.  This is a vibrant and pleasantly sweet style of Sivi Marany, with a tart wave of wild berry fruits and sour citrus that adds contrast.  Texture and character on the palate confirms the terroir and the identity of Plešivica; the old and true Plešivica. The mouthfeel is elegant, mineral, with a greath length
