2022 Cerbaiona Rosso di Montalcino

Cerbaiona's Rosso di Montalcino shares the same great terroir and micro-climate as the Cerbaiona Brunello, but is subjected to less wood treatment and refinement in bottle before release. It is produced in even fewer amounts than the Brunello and provides a low-cost way for consumers to try this wonderful Sangiovese. Fioretti describes it as "a wine you can't help but love." The grapes were from a SINGLE vineyard, where richer clay soils provide a more richly fruited, appealing wine. This deceptively complex Rosso will age well and remain in peak drinking condition for some time after that brief extra aging.
