It displays a complex, spicy bouquet with aromas of plum, licorice, black fruits and dark wild berries. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and layered, the wine tastes like the essence of Madiran with structuring, refined, velvety tannins and a seamless palate. It has a long and generous finish, making it a wine with a remarkable potential for aging (15-20 years and more).

About the producer

Château Bouscassé has belonged to the Brumont family for several generations. The property includes 50 hectares of superb clay-limestone terroir along the cliff in the commune of Maumusson-Laguian. This terroir is also somewhat humorously known as the Pied de Côte de Saint Emilion ("The foot of the Saint Emilion Slope"), because the Tannat that grows there produces a wine that has similar characteristics to some of the great wines of Bordeaux's right bank, in that they possess a rigorous style, a refined structure and a substantial potential to age.

The Village Wine Merchant is pleased to offer same day delivery in Nassau County for orders placed by 7PM Tuesday through Saturdays and 4PM on Sundays. Orders placed when shop is closed (including Monday) will be delivered the following day. We do not ship Wine or spirits.
