Producer Tasting Notes:
Deep red with garnet nuances. The aroma is exceptionally complex, reminiscent of ripe plums, cherry, chocolate, sweet spices, hay and vanilla notes. In the mouth it is pleasantly intense, full and round with sweet tannins that lead into a long fruit-filled finish. It is good to drink now but destined to improve in future.

Bottling date: October 2003.

Vintage Notes: A very dry spring resulted in low yields. The summer was hot and sunny and this enabled an excellent quality of the grapes, very healthy and with a high sugar content.

About the Producer:
Bertani's history dates back to 1857 when brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani established the original winery in Grezzana, Valpolicella Valpantena. Today, Bertani comprises more than 200 hectares (500 acres) of cultivated vineyards across Verona: Lake Garda, Valpolicella Valpantena, Soave and Valpolicella Classico.
